David W. Hall obtained a B.A. in philosophy from the University of Memphis in 1975 in philosophy. After completion of his undergraduate studies, Hall studied at Swiss L’Abri and then at Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri, graduating in 1980. Hall later earned a Ph.D. in Christian Intellectual Thought from Whitefield Theological Seminary.  He served as Associate Pastor at the First Presbyterian Church in Rome, Georgia (1980-1984) and then served as Pastor of the Covenant Presbyterian Church in Oak Ridge, Tennessee (1984-2003).  He has been the Senior Pastor of Midway Presbyterian Church in Powder Springs, Georgia since 2003.  Hall is also the author or editor of over 20 books and numerous essays.
