Proponents of the Literary Framework (LFV) of creation maintain the Creation “Days” referenced in Genesis 1 “days” are not literal 24-hour days but metaphorically refer to time spans of unknown length which occurred in the heavenly realm. In their , the author purposefully arranged the Creation “Days” to narrate God’s creative works in a topical order within the literary framework of a seven day week. Nevertheless, all the creative works described in Genesis 1 and 2 are true historical events. Although many Literary Framework theorists believe science has proven the earth is very old, they maintain people are free to believe in a young earth, if so convinced.
