Mary Magdalene was a follower of Jesus who travelled with Jesus and his disciples. Mary Magdalene was present at Jesus’ crucifixion (Mark 15:37-41; John 19:25) and burial (Matt. 27:57-61, Mark 15:42-47). She was also a witness to Jesus’ empty tomb (Mark 16:1-7; Luke 24:1-10; John 20:1-2) and a witness to Jesus’ appearances in a resurrected body (John 20:11-18).
