A Nobel Prize is a very prestigious international award presented to those who make outstanding contributions in certain fields of study including physics and chemistry. Those who receive the award are referred to as Nobel laureates or Nobel Prize winners. Some of the most well-known laureates include Max Planck, Albert Einstein, Niels Bohr, Arno Penzias and George Smoot.
